You are a first officer. You arrive to your gate. You look around and do not see your Captain yet.
[[Chat with gate agent]]
[[Check your phone to make sure you are at the gate]]
[[Check your company iPad to review the flight again]]The Captain "shpapes up a bit" but resists this idea.
[[You Try and convince the Captain again telling him of the potential fallout]]
[[You let the Captain fly, because he isnt that drunk]]
[[You Call the Chief Pilot]]
[[You call your Union Rep]]The captain (either:"decides to call in sick","[[Refuses to call in sick, and says he is just fine]]").Your Union Rep Appreciates the call and says he will take it from here. The union rep calls crew scheduiling and the captain is removed from the flight. As a result of calling the Union the Captain is represented and protected and placed into a recovery program. You were permitted to continue flying your trip. As a precaution you were assigned a representative just in case. The Captain completes his recovery program and is released for work one month later on probation. You call Chief Pilot who calls Crew Scheduling and informs them that your Captain is intoxicated and is slurring his speach. The fact that he got through the security checkpoint is a miracle to you and crew scheduler. Crew Scheduling pulls him off the trip and you are removed from the flight as well and inquires are to follow. Both you and the captain are placed under investigation. A week later you are allowed to return to work with no actions against you and hear that the Captain was fired for showing up to work drunk. You're actions although ethical put a label on you, and your forever reminded that you are responsible for ruining this Captains career. Congratulations (either:"not only have you violated an FAR but you have also put all of your passengers in danger. You land at your destination, its a mircale that you made it, and greated by the airport police. Your Captain is arrested and you are fired.","You make it to the airport without anyone noticing. And as a punishment you get disentary and die.")[[You call your Union Rep]]
[[You let the Captain fly, because he isnt that drunk]] You chat with the gate agent and ask her how her day has been. You act to be interested but you would really just like to get on with your day. You notice your Captain walk up.
[[You approach your Captain and say hello]]Lo and behold you nailed it! You are at the right gate, good job sport! You diddle with your phone for a minute and then look up from your phone to see your Captain.
[[You approach your Captain and say hello]]You stare at your iPad for a few minutes and see nothing has changed. You look up from you iPad and you see your Captain.
[[You approach your Captain and say hello]]You approach your Captain, and you immediately smell alcohol. You arent sure just how drunk he is but he seems a bit off his rocker.

[[I cant beleive you showed up drunk are you kidding me?!]]
[[Im not trying to step outside of my rank but sir, I think you are drunk and should go home]]
[[Try to Talk the Captain into calling in Sick]] The Gate Agent notices the state of the Captain and recognizes that he should not be flying.
[[You tell the gate agent not to worry about it and you will handle this.]]
Immediately [[You call your Union Rep]] before things get out of hand
You tell her [[You Call the Chief Pilot]] Thiw has upset the Captain who is now yelling at you at the gate. The scene gets so out of hand that the aiport police have to get involved. The Captain is arrested and pulled out of the airport. You are removed from the flight and placed on leave until the whole situation is straightened out. You return to work and everything appears fine but all of the flight crews you work with appear to be distant and cold towards you. You were given a Union rep durring the whole mess and you come out of the situation with nothing filed against you but are reminded that this whole thing could have been so much worse. The Captain disagrees with you and says that he is not drunk and that you should mind your own business.
